Na Ye is an excellent poet with independent mind and a transcending soul. For her, poetry writing is breathing in life. The point of view and narration in her poems are from her real-life experience, but her poems illuminate a world beside ours. Her poetry comes with a perspective that is wide but detailed, deep and rigged, which leads to her unique style. Na Ye is a woman, but more than just being feminine; she is from the west, but more than just west; she is contemporary, but she is way beyond this time. She believes that “catching a sea spray, is like catching the ocean, catching a wing of the wave.” Her poetry is almost a kind of phenomenological psychology or a way of emotion research.

Personal Resume is a collection of Na Ye’s recent poems, which includes 193 poems divided into 5 chapters: “In this Cosmic World,” “Things Bigger than Poetry,” “The Sunlight Stales the World,” “To the Left of Time,” “No Place Better than the Study.” Na Ye’s poetry is short but deep, personal yet realistic. Her poetry is a seek for truth, and thus it is sharp and pointy with the sense of pain, which increases unhurriedly, like needles approaching at a gentle speed. The sharpness of her poetry aims more than the outer environment, or historical cultural context, but also to her personal fate.
